Exam performance is your responsibility
Thanks for checking out what Econ911.com has to offer you. Many students have used my services with excellent results. It has not been uncommon to hear about students whose marks jumped 10% or more after coming to a review session. Although there are students who have come to one of my reviews and aced the exam without otherwise studying, I do not encourage anyone to try to emulate them.
Your learning is your responsibility, as with the rest of your life. You may have noticed that personal responsibility is what distinguishes university from grade school. At university, it is no one's job to look out for you, to make sure you study, do your homework, or even eat breakfast. Your life and your experience are 100% your responsibility.
If you don't study enough for an exam (you know this is the case if you go into an exam feeling guilty, jaded or indifferent) and you subsequently bomb it, that's the consequence of your own choice. No review session can guarantee an excellent grade or even a passing grade. A review, however, can be an excellent way to supplement your own study, and to give you extra practice. It's also a great way to spice things up and learn with other people in the class, as opposed to doing all your studying alone. Review sessions are not necessarily magic bullets, although they have at times functioned as such. Your mileage will vary, and ultimately, your performance rests on you, and how committed you are.
One of the things I enjoyed most about university was studying, learning and mastering concepts that appeared difficult on the surface but turned out to be extremely rewarding once I understood them. I hope that you also seek out and enjoy the learning experience that university has to offer and savor that time in your life when you're young, energetic and ready to learn everything from art history to molecular biology. And above all, take responsibility for yourself.
